Anvith has been doing a lot of new things of late which I had never seen him doing when in Bangalore. When my mom updates me these things, I get surprised and so is Naveen. Few things want to note down here -
- He says his name is Pratham. If we call him by Anvith or Gunda (his pet name at home), he gets annoyed and says he is not anvith nor gunda and he is Pratham. Actually, Pratham is my sister's kid's name and Anvith loves him a lot but its still a mystery to us why he loves calling himself Pratham. Does he hate the name we kept ? I hope not!
- When me or Naveen calls him, he speaks for a while on the phone and then says "I have a call now" and goes to a bedroom. When my mom told this, we were shocked. He is trying to imitate Naveen who generally has calls on weekdays late evenings who generally says he has a call and goes to bedroom to attend the call. We never knew Anvith observed all this and now imitating his dad!
- He has started saying "Don't touch me". He hates being touched. No one speaks in english with him at home or in grandparent's home. We think he would have heard it in his day care but surprised that he is using it now almost after 2 months of not going to day care.
- Anvith knows "A to Z" & "1 to 10" and can identify body parts when asked in English. This one is a major thing for us since most of the schools here ask these things when try for admission. When I left him in Udupi, he only knew "A B C D E FG". I had told my dad to teach him the alphabets and numbers, who in deed taught Avnith the alphabets every day for an hour.
-Anvith loves fruit juices now. Every time he goes out with Ajja, he asks my dad to give him apple juice, musambi juice etc.
More to come later.
